had an amazing vitality and zest for life
an uncanny humour, wit and commitment to her art and always her family.

News 2017

1929 - 2003

June left a legacy of American music.
Her last album The Wildwood Flower was released by DualTone Records.

There is a lovely video, Keep On The Sunny Side, which features some of my footage from Jamaica and the Press On sessions.

Cash Cabin Studio, during the Press On recording sessions, 1998

November 1998
I documented the Press On recording sessions at Cash Cabin Studio with photography and video.
This is June with John Carter Cash who produced the album. I shot the album cover in Jamaica, January 1999.

JOHNNY and JUNE - Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration,
Madison Square Garden, NYC, October 16, 1992

Here’s a picture from Dylan’s dressing room backstage at Madison Square Garden, NYC - October 16th 1992
“This is our friend Alan, you can trust him”
said June to Dylan.
I got the now well known photograph of Johnny and Bob, then this one.
Bob Dylan used that photograph, plus some others of mine for the “30th Anniversary Concert Celebration” DVD + CD package.

May 1987
JUNE invited me to the house in Maces Valley, Virginia to take a series of fun period photographs for a storyboard for her WILDWOOD FLOWER movie.
The film, which was to star Robert Duvall was never made due to June's commitment to her husband's health issues.

This was on the roof of John and June’s Central Park apartment, 1988.
