STEVE EARLE '86

Steve Earle is American music personified, intermingling his profound political and social views in his songwriting with some damn fine guitar playing.
It is no wonder Johnny Cash loved this man.

Steve Earle's Guitar Town is a classic Nashville album. I am honoured to have been involved with this project.
Steve Earle is one of the newer legends of country music. He has endured drug rehabilitation, a jail sentence and weathered life’s storms to emerge as a cult hero.
Steve is instrumental in raising public awareness against the death penalty and has effectively done some great work that has saved lives.
This man rocks on stage, takes no prisoners and always delivers.
Johnny Cash told me that Steve's version of Cash's "Hardin Wouldn't Run" was the best he'd heard.

Guitar Town was re-released in 2002 by MCA Nashville/UMG. The extended CD package included several of my photographs, that were not on the original LP.
Steve and the original band performed the whole album live at Nashville's Ryman.

Several other compilation albums have been released using my photographs.

Steve Earle now lives in New York City, a far cry from music city, guitar town and his Texas roots.
